Pofu is a play-to-learn app for children and students; languages today, more subjects later. This policy explains what we collect, why, and your rights.

What we collect

Account: You start as a guest with an anonymous identity tied to your device. If you link Google, Apple or e-mail, we store your e-mail address and the identity provider's user id.
Learning data: Your answers (word, correct/wrong, response time), games played, scores, streaks and chapter progress — needed for spaced repetition and progress reports.
Device data: App version, platform, device language and a random per-device id. No advertising identifiers; no ads.
Voice: Speaking exercises are recognised on the device; audio is never uploaded or stored.
Notifications: A push token if you enable reminders.

Children

The app may be used by children. We do not ask children for names, addresses or photos; account linking, purchases, account deletion and links leaving the app sit behind a parental gate. Parents can contact us to view, correct or delete their child's data.

How we use data

To personalise learning (review timing, difficulty).
To send optional progress reports by e-mail.
To improve the app with anonymised usage statistics.

We never sell data or share it with advertisers. Firebase Authentication (Google) handles sign-in and Firebase Cloud Messaging delivers notifications; data is stored on our servers in Europe.

Retention and deletion

Data is kept while your account exists. Delete your account and all learning data permanently from Settings → Delete account, or write to [email protected].

Your rights

You may access, correct, export and delete your data (GDPR / KVKK). Requests: [email protected]

Changes

We update the date above when this policy changes and announce material changes in the app.
